What Happened in November 2016

So many interesting things happened this month! I can’t write in everything, but in the future I intend to write a weekly update rather than a monthly update, so my thoughts will be less sparse and scattered.

The Veronicas had a massive month. In case you missed it, Ruby Rose and Jess Origliasso from The Veronicas have rekindled their 2008 romance, which can be seen in the hot and steamy music video for their single ‘On Your Side’. Written, directed and starred in by Ruby Rose aka everyone’s favourite Litchfield inmate.

The Veronicas also hosted the Arias, including their famous/infamous performance of ‘In My Blood’ where they performed topless in body paint.

Anna Kendrick, the somewhat socially awkward yet adorable weirdo released ‘Scrappy Little Nobody’ a collection of autobiographical essays. Spoiler alert: not enough Pitch Perfect stories! Despite of the lack of aca-awesome tales, it was reasonably funny, quick and well worth the read.

I have discussed the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life already, so let’s skip that. However it is important to note that Lauren Graham released her book ‘Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls and Everything in Between’. I have a feeling that this won’t have the same problem I had with Anna Kendrick’s book where she doesn’t talk about her best role enough – I am very excited to read this one.

Donald Trump won the elec… actually let’s skip that too, it’s too depressing.

Speaking of the election, Kanye West had a lot to say about the election that pissed off his fans. He is now spending some well deserved time in hospital after a massive downward spiral that hopefully leads to an improved mental state.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was released! Harry Potter nerds unite! It was also revealed that there will be a 5 movie arc to the story – that will include Johnny Depp in the cast. This obviously sparked criticism due to his very public domestic abuse case with Amber Heard.

Princess Leia and Han Solo got it on. That’s right! Carrie Fisher revealed in her book that she and Mr Harrison Ford had a fling many many years ago.

Adele announced that she is going to have another baby! It doesn’t sound like she is officially pregnant yet, but obviously a very exciting development in her family!

2016 has been a cruel year for celebrity deaths, and November was no better. This month we lost Leonard Cohen, Robert Vaughn, Ron Glass & a lovely lady, Florence Henderson.
